Where To Stay In Downtown Denver: The Curtis Hotel

The Curtis HotelFor the third night in Colorado, we ended up staying downtown at a hotel called The Curtis. This was by far the most interesting hotel I have ever stayed in.

Location: The Curtis Hotel, a hotel dedicated to pop culture, is located in Downton Denver, across from the Denver Center for Performing Arts. It is in a really convenient location and has several spots to visit from a walking distance. For instance, there are over 40 restaurants within five blocks of the hotel, along with a mall to have the perfect shopping experience, and more.

The Story: The Curtis definitely is one of the most interesting hotels I have ever seen. Just to give you a few background information, the main purpose of this hotel is to be in the downtown area and to “stay happy.”

You will see the phrase “stay happy” throughout the hotel and will also be greeted with very bold, retro themed furnitures in the lobby, with freshly baked cookies at the reception desk during check in. The hotel is very interesting in comparison to any hotel because it contains 13 themed floors.

The Themed Floors:

  • The 4th Floor – Perfect Pair Floor
  • The 5th Floor – Superhero Floor
  • The 6th Floor – Fun & Games Floor
  • The 7th Floor – Laugh Out Loud Floor
  • The 8th Floor – Sci-Fi Floor
  • The 9th Floor – Big Hair Floor
  • The 10th Floor – Floor of Champions
  • The 11th Floor – Chick Flick Floor
  • The 12th Floor – Dance Floor
  • The 13th Floor – Horror Floor
  • The 14th Floor – TV Mania Floor
  • The 15th Floor – Mad About Music Floor
  • The 16th Floor – Pedal To The Metal Floor

Overall Opinion: We ended up staying on the 12th floor, the Dance Floor, which was the cutest. It was a disco-themed floor and even had the rooms decorated to fit the theme. One of the walls in our room was covered with a painting of funky, glittered heels. There was also a disco ball on one of the tables and vinyls hanging on a wall.

We were still wanting to see what the hype was about for this hotel and proceeded with exploring all 13 floors. Our favorite floors were the Fun & Games Floor (6th), the Dance Floor (12th), and the Horror Floor (13th).

I took a few videos of some of the floors and have them posted on my instastories, under the “Colorado” highlight, so make sure you check the videos out! The Curtis Hotel The Curtis Hotel The Curtis Hotel The Curtis Hotel The Curtis Hotel The Curtis Hotel The Curtis Hotel

I received a complimentary stay, however all opinions are my own.
