SHOP THE LOOK
A few weeks ago, when we were in Michigan, we made sure that going to an apple orchard was on our top priority list. After researching for the perfect place to go apple picking, we were able to narrow it down to Erwin Orchards. This was actually our first time going apple picking, so we were really excited. When we finally arrived to this orchard, we realized that they were almost out of apples for the season, so we got very lucky to have been there that week.
This orchard is located in South Lyon, Michigan, so the drive was not that far from Ann Arbor. There are several orchards in southern Michigan, but we liked Erwin Orchard the most. I definitely recommend going to this orchard if you ever happen to be in Michigan at this time of the year.
We decided to start our morning here at the orchard. When we arrived, we immediately ran to buy breakfast, which was some warm apple cider to drink along with apple cider sugar donuts. That was our biggest obsession this trip. Whenever we came across a place that sold apple cider donuts, we dropped everything to go fill ourselves up. I’m usually not a fan of donuts, but the cider donuts were phenomenal. I seriously could go on and on describing how amazing the donuts were.
We actually got very lucky this day because it was supposed to rain. That being said, it did actually end up raining, but that was right when we were leaving Erwin Orchards. The gloomy weather was the perfect kind of fall weather and made everything else more enjoyable.
