The first day of summer was just 5 days ago, which means hello heat strokes. Well… not necessarily. Although it’s not my favorite season, I still love summer. I easily get cold, so the summer heat works perfectly for me. For those who hate summer, your wardrobe can change everything. For instance, wearing lighter shades, the perfect fabric, and loose clothing can make your life so much easier.
It was around 100 degrees when I shot this look and I didn’t feel too grossed out or sticky (that’s the worst feeling in the summer). I wanted to share this outfit on my blog because I would say that this outfit is the perfect choice for summer. I can already see myself wearing it a lot, styling it differently of course. The way this look is styled is for a semi-formal summer event, which, for me, was Eid.
If you’re more into casual day-to-day looks, you could definitely dress the maxi skirt down by pairing it with some cute summer sandals or mules. Other ways to make this look more casual is by wearing an ivory shirt and pairing it with a mustard yellow or straw bag.
Overall, my favorite part about the skirt is the print. Ironically, growing up, I was not really a fan of paisley prints. To find myself obsessing over the print today is something I never thought I would see. I mean, it’s not just the print of the skirt, but it’s also the color scheme. The warm tones are just too perfect for summer!
The skirt has an adjustable waist-tie, so you can wearing it as a high-rise or however you would like to. The top that I am wearing is not see through, so you don’t really have to worry about wearing a top underneath. I went ahead and wore a nude long sleeve shirt underneath because I didn’t want my skin to show in between the buttons (it was a little tight on me). How would you wear this skirt?
