Fashion week is a week filled with passion, inspiration, and chaos (in a good way). It is something that I definitely look forward to. This is my second time attending NYFW which was a bit easier this round. I knew my way around more and understood the mistakes that I needed to avoid from my previous attendance (such as overbooking my schedule, missing shows, etc).
This season I decided to do things a little different… I wanted to fully express myself through my own clothing. That’s when I decided that the best way for me to be content was to design and create my own clothes. Designing is something that I have been doing for several years, ever since I was a child.
I am very passionate about having the power and creativity to come up with a design that I have been holding on to. I have withheld this part of me on social media for several years, keeping everything I share on a high-level, avoiding anything personal.
My look for day 1 of NYFW is dedicated to the black & bronze beauty vest that I designed. I have been into darker palettes, leaning towards black and brown. The black patterned lines on the vest along with the ribbon are both velvet, adding depth to the vest.
