Everyone used to tell me that Miami is one of the most beautiful cities to visit. I have to admit, that it might be a crime to argue against that statement. Could I just write stunning three times and call it a day?

On day 3 of the trip, my mom and I actually started the day by eating breakfast at the hotel and then heading out to Dania Beach. Telling myself that the beach is named after me, might not be the best idea. I remember when I was much younger, I used to Google my name to see what would come up. Seeing a city in Florida called Dania Beach appear on the web took me by surprise, and now here I am going to that beach.

We ended up parking near Dania Beach Pier. I’ll be honest it’s not the most beautiful beach and city to go to. Make a note that you have to pay to walk on the pier, which was completely weird, but I was still so excited that the city and beach had the same spelling as my name. Dania Beach Pier is mostly just a fishing pier. I wouldn’t recommend walking on the pier, unless you’re there to go fishing.

After an hour or so at Dania Beach, we drove south to a brunch spot in Miami called OTL Miami. My mom and I ended up ordering the same thing, an avocado toast and a cappuccino. I loved, loved this place and recommend stopping there whenever you’re in Miami. This cafe was located in the Miami Design District, a neighborhood filled with restaurants and upscale fashion stores. After exploring and doing some window shopping, we headed to the highlight of my day, the Vizcaya Museum and Gardens.

In general, I’m the kind of person who loves to visit castles, palaces, and have a huge classic heart. Discovering the Vizcaya Museum made me super excited. Tickets were only $18 and on average, people usually take 1-2 hours. Knowing myself, I ended up staying for 3 hours studying every corner of the place. The Vizcaya Museum was once a villa, where a business man lived in. It is a very detailed place where you are greeted with the beautiful main entrance, the gardens, the villa itself, and the ocean bay area.

After we explored the museum, we were thinking about heading to South Miami Beach but realized we were so close to the island, Key Biscayne (which was only 15 minutes away), so we thought why not. We drove around and explored Key Biscayne and stopped to grab Indian food at the delicious Ayesha Saffron Indian Restaurant. Key Biscayne is really small, so I recommend trying to explore the whole island. I mostly drove and looked at the houses because I was so fascinated. By the way, the houses in Florida are beautiful and the coolest part is that they look different from city to city. We ended up watching the sunset, relaxing a bit, and then decided to head back to the hotel.
